The Vincent is now The Viceroy
Due to trademark issues we have changed the name of The Vincent to The Viceroy. Soon we will be shipping Vincents with the new Viceroy nameplates. The Viceroy is the same as the Vincent in all respects; only the name has changed.
New! Mini-Mercury 1x10 Combo
The Mini-Mercury Amplifier is an extremely versatile combo with all tube reverb, 3 position boost switch, treble cut switch, and a built in attenuator yielding 8, 2, 1/2, or 1/10 watt output.
It is 100% hand wired and rigorously tested.
The Mini-Mercury offers big amp tones and feel ranging from lush 60s American reverb to modified brown 70s British crunch at almost any volume.
All Carr Amplifiers have solid pine cabinets with dovetailed corners built in-house. The cabinet measures a friendly 19.5" wide by 15" tall by 10" deep at the bottom sloping to 9" deep on the top. This is 2 inches shorter and 1 3/4 inches narrower than the standard 1x12" Mercury making it very compact.
Output is thru a single JJ E34L power tube while the pre amp uses two 12AX7s and one 12AT7.
Our new Mini-Mercury has the same electronics as the standard 1x12" Mercury but differs in its smaller cabinet and its warm and smoky 10 inch Eminence Lil Buddy hemp cone speaker.
New! Color
There are many new things here at Carr Amplifiers. In addition to the Mini-Mercury, we have a new vinyl covering: blue. It looks great on the Mini-Merc above, and on The Viceroy (formerly The Vincent).
New! Viceroy (formerly The Vincent) Head
Speaking of The Viceroy (formerly The Vincent), a new Viceroy head is in the works. A prototype in blue is pictured here. The head has the same features as the combos and lists for $2390. We are taking orders for The Viceroy head, so ask your local dealer to place an order.
New! Website
If you've been to our website before, you will have noticed by now that the site is new, too. Some of the new features are:
- New Manuals - The owner's manuals, long in need of updating, have been revised and are more complete and comprehensive. Owner's manuals can be downloaded from the Support page.
- More Reviews - We've scanned in all the press, including German and Japanese magazines, for you to read on the Press page.
- Updated User Section - We receive a lot of photos of Carr amp owners and their gear, and many of those that languished in the inbox have finally found a home in the Users galleries.
- Easier Access to Useful Information - We hope you will find what you are looking for here. If you have questions, please contact us at info@carramps.com or (919) 545-0747.
